Preface

This manual is meant as an introduction to the Nonius DIP2000 system. It gives a description of the DIP2000 system, how it works, how it can be used to collect X-ray diffraction data, how the detector can be aligned and calibrated, which programs are used to operate the DIP2000 and how they should be installed.

For processing the DIP2000 the HKL2000 software is mostly used, but other processing packages may be used instead. For a detailed description of the HKL package, the user is referred to the HKL website.
