Color Scale

colscale.gif - 6.1 K

The main menu option "Gray/Color Scale" toggles between gray scale and color scale for the image intensity. The (logarithmic) intensity scale is displayed beneath the image, with a tick mark for each decade and at scale maximum.

The color scale can be adjusted by changing either the floor or the ceiling. Intensities at or below the floor are shown as black. Intensities at or above the ceiling are displayed as red.

To adjust the ceiling, place the cursor over the intensity scale and hit the + key or the - key on the numeric key pad. The + key increases the brightness of the image (by decreasing the ceiling); the - key decreases the brightness.

To adjust the floor, place the cursor over the intensity scale, hold down the Shift key, and hit the + key or the - key on the numeric key pad. The + key increases the brightness of the image (by decreasing the floor); the - key decreases the brightness.
