spoton: Follow a reflection over the detector

The "spoton" program can measure a single reflection at different positions of the CCD detector, to make a verification of the sensitivity correction.

Usage

The program is invoked by the command line:
  spoton [xfilename] [options]
The xfilename given should point to a file containing an orientation matrix. If none is given, the newest ".rmat" or the newest ".x" file from the current directory is used.

Options

hkl=[reflection]
Selects a particular reflection for following. If no reflection is specified, the program will look for a suitable reflection for the measurement.
dx=[distance]
The detector to crystal distance at which the experiment is to be performed. Default=50mm.
frameangle=[frameangle]
The width of the frames to be collected. Default=0.5 degrees.
frametime=[frametime]
The data collection time per frame. Default=10 seconds, or whatever time looks good after having performed a pre-frame.
preframetime=[preframetime]
The data collection time for the test frame. Default=2 seconds.
n=#
Number of positions for the reflection on the screen. Default=40.
negativetheta
Specifies that the negative theta impact of the reflection should be used. This is the default if the goniostat has more space at negative theta than at positive theta.
positivetheta
Specifies that the positive theta impact of the reflection should be used. This is the default if the goniostat has more space at positive theta than at negative theta.
make
If "make" is specified, and no hkl is given on the command line, the program will figure out a good hkl and exposure time by itself, and then run itself in a subdirectory "near" (at dx=30 or any other specified dx) and a second time in a subdirectory "far" (at 4 times as large dx value). It will also store the "hkl" and "frametime" arguments used in the "spoton.args" file. These are the ideal conditions for the spoton-integrate program.
